These counters and sizers can be based on the optical laser scattering method or as size-resolved Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer, which is a combination of a Condensation Particle Counter with a DMA. The test stations can on the one hand be compact and even portable with a sophisticated software package and on the other hand be a complete test stand to monitor the particle sizes and their size distribution in many different size ranges from a few nanometers up to 32 µm.
